I plan on slow cooking the ribs to tender the meat for about 2-3 hours, making sure to cut some of the fat and membrane off the back. After which throw on the BBQ for about 30 minutes.
I always like making my own BBQ Sauce, or rather looking up one with the ingredients I happen to have on hand. Using websites like allrecpies or betty crocker really help being a housewife.
Anyway, the Sauce:
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon water
- 1-1/2 teaspoons white sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
Directions
In a medium bowl or bottle, combine the vinegar, ketchup, water, sugar, salt and chili powder. Mix well and store in the refrigerator until ready for use.Plain, simple and easy to make. Slather some of this on until you're happy and let it simmer on the BBQ for another 5-10 minutes. Happy BBQing this summer!
